THE OZARK WIND QUINTET: Five instrumentalists’ featuring Sarah Johnson (flute), Andrew Baker (oboe), Janice Bengtson (clarinet), Katy Luker (horn), and Kay Brusca (bassoon). The group is based in Northwest Arkansas, and the members are professional performing musicians in regional symphonies, chamber groups, wind ensembles, musical theater, church and choir performing organizations. In addition to making music with the Ozark Wind Quintet, members of the group are actively involved in a number of the area’s non-profits and their causes. Examples include: the Brock Gossett memorial campaign benefiting the Animal League of Washington County, the National Down’s Syndrome Society, Seven Hills, the competitive Ozark Mountains Brass Band, United Way, Theater Squared, and more. Members are also involved in teaching and sharing their enthusiasm for music and the arts with young music students in public schools and educational settings throughout Northwest Arkansas.
